How To Open Blocked Website


The popular SKMM notice.
As you all know that some websites cannot be open because the internet service provider have blocked it. There are some few solutions provided here to help you out.

CHANGE DNS ADDRESS
- Some blocked website can easily be open just by changing the DNS address. Usually using the Google DNS can simply remove the blocking.

Instructions
  1. Right click on the WiFi/LAN icon at the Taskbar. (Next to the clock)
  2. Click on Open Network and Sharing Center.
  3. On the left menu, click on Change adapter settings.
  4. Right click on the connection you are currently using (Ethernet/WiFi).
  5. Choose Properties.
  6. Click on Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4).
  7. Click on Properties button.
  8. Tick Use the following DNS server addresses.
  9. Change the DNS to Google DNS.
    - Preferred DNS server: 8.8.8.8.
    - Alternate DNS server: 8.8.4.4
  10. Click OK button for both windows.
  11. Disable LAN/WiFi then enable it again.
There are some cases that doing the above steps are still not enough. You need to clear/flush the DNS cache to open the website.

Instructions
  1. Right click on CMD/Command Prompt.
  2. Choose Run as administrator.
  3. Type ipconfig /flushdns.
  4. Close CMD/Command Prompt.
Note: To confirm the CMD/Command Prompt are running as admin, the starting command line should be C:\Windows\system32>


2. USING THIRD PARTY DNS SERVICE
- There are many open DNS service like Google DNS out there such as Open DNS or Level 3 DNS. Just Google it and you might find the one that fit your needs.
