Basic Guide On How To Install Downloaded Games

There are tons of games available for download specially from torrent sites. Here are some guide on how to install it.

Things To Take Note

Make sure your PC can handle the game.
- Check the minimum requirement for your PC if it can handle the game. You don't want to waste your precious time downloading a game that you can't play don't you?If you don't know what your PC specifications is, install Speccy from Piriform or Get It Here.
Make sure the files are valid.
- Usually in the download page there will be a comment section. Make sure at least 75% of the comments said that the game work. You will see some of the comments said a negative things. The basic rule is either you want it or not. That's all to it.
Make sure the files are from top contributor or uploader.
- This will avoid you from getting a corrupted file or have virus/malware in it.
Make sure you have the latest driver for all your hardware.
- Most important updates are for the graphic card, sound and motherboard. This will make sure that your PC are running without any problem.

Required Software

Zip Software
- Install WinRar or better to install 7Zip. Some uploader like to upload their file in .rar or .zip format since it will make the files smaller. Winzip are okay but most of the uploader have WinRar.
Virtual Drive Software
- Most file are in image format like .iso or .img. You can burn it to Disc and install it from there but it will be much more faster if you just mount it. Recommended software Alcohol 120%, UltraISO or the free Daemon tool.

Things To Do Once You Have Downloaded The Game

READ THE INSTRUCTIONS
- Yes...I put it in CAPS since most people think they are so smart and install the game hoping all will be okay in their mind. Please note that some games require different method on how to install it. So read the instructions provided in the files and follow it one by one.
Note: Most instructions are combined with the Readme file. Usually its in the .nfo file.
.nfo File
- Usually this file contain readme and instruction in it. To open it, just Right Click on the .nfo file and choose Open With Notepad or Wordpad. It won't open properly if you double click on it.
Keygen *cough(Serial Key Generator)
- Well, use it if its available lol.
Crack *cough File
- Again, read the instruction on where to copy & paste the crack file to proper location.

Extra Note

Basic guide are Burn/Mount image, Install, Copy Paste crack & play.
Some antivirus will detect the file is infected with trojan virus. Usually this will happen if it have a key generator software in it. So it just a false positive alert.

Problem After Install

Turn off antivirus before you open the game. Some antivirus will block the program that are require to play the game.
Turn off firewall before installing the game. Sometime firewall will block some process require for complete installation.
Open as administrator (Win7/Vista). Some games need you to be the admin to be able for you to play the game.
Run this program in compatibility mode : WinXP /2000. Some crack are not compatible enough for Win7 or Vista. You can use try the compatibility mode to fix this.
Turn off / disconnect internet connection. Sometimes a game will not work properly once it finish update the game.
If you think you've done everything right but still can't make the game work, go back to the download page and see the comment section. You might see the solution to your problem already been answered there.
