Have you ever encounter an event where it take too long waiting your Android device to receive new IP from the router? Or the connection just doesn't go in. Here are one of the simple solution where all you need to do is just changing the IP address. Just follow the guide below.
1. Go to Settings and then WiFi.
2. a) If you already logged in in the network before and the password is saved - Tap and hold network name and tap Modify.
b) If you never log in into the network before - tap network name and the insert the WiFi password.
3. Tick Show advanced options.
4. In IPv4 settings - change to Static.

Some of you already got their problem solved. Here are some more guide for the newbies.
IPv4 address: 192.168.0.XXX / 192.168.1.XXX - This is your device IP. The XXX are numbers that you can personally choose from 0-255. Make sure this IP address is not the same as other device in the same network. Otherwise you will get IP conflict.
Gateway: 192.168.0.1 / 192.168.1.1
- This is the router IP address. Common IP address used for router are as shown above.
Network prefix length: 24
- This is the Subnet mask. Use 24 as default.
DNS 1: 8.8.8.8
- Just like in PC, this is the Preferred DNS server address. 8.8.8.8 is the common Google DNS. You can change this and use your ISP DNS if you know the address.
DNS 2: 8.8.4.4
- This is the Alternate DNS server address. 8.8.4.4 is the common alternate Google DNS address. You can also change this and use you ISP DNS.
Note: Tutorial here are based on common IP address used on a router. If you are trying to connect to public WiFi and this tutorial doesn't work, it means the router use other IP address. Please contact the WiFi admin there for help instead.
