This guide will help and avoid you from going into hall of fame for noobs. Knowing this knowledge also will put you into one of the most great Bad Company 2 player.
- Knowing the job aka Pick the right weapon.
- Try all jobs (Assault, Medic, Recon, Engineer). Each job have special weapon just for them. Find the weapon that fits with your style of shooting. Go to any empty server and try all the weapons. See which type can shoot far away accurately and see which type that don't. - Pick the right perks.
- Perks help you maximize your playing skill. Use all the perks you got and maximize it with your play style. For newbies you just have a few perks. So use whatever perk you got until you unlock the others. You will have all the perks when you reach level 25. - Knowing the environment.
- You can use the environment to survive and take advantage of it. Try to memorize all the hot spot for hiding place, vehicles, UAV terminal, AA and etc. Knowing the hot spot for hiding place is good enough where you can easily sneak behind the recons that are busy sniping and stab them with knife. You can also safe yourself when you are attacked by an enemies and run into the tank and shoot them back with it. - Knowing the trend.
- There are always a trend that most players like to do for example in conquest mode, most players I saw like to use the same road or path to go to another place. Try to hide nearby that place and shoot all the enemies that pass through it. Easier way is to target the vehicles. Just plant the mines at any road or place that tanks like to pass through. - Attack and support at the same times.
- Never walk alone or be a Rambo. Always be with your squadmate. Best squad (Not the award pin) is to have all four jobs in one squad which are the assault, medic, recon and the engineer. This type of squad usually got highest probability to survive and success to conquer any area. Support your squad. Help them with whatever you got. Use tracer dart so it will be easy for the engineer to shoot the tank. Spam the health or ammo box. Spawn right away to your squadmate when he's attacked by the enemy. When I said be with your squad, I didn't mean you have had to be right next to them. Just close enough for you to help them is okay. Plus, extra points when you support your squad or your squad kill your spotted enemies. - Destruction 2.0
- Use the special Destruction 2.0 to your advantage. All walls and building can be damage. If you are in the tank and you see the enemy hiding inside a house, blow the house down. Same thing if the enemy is hiding behind the wall, just destroy the wall to take the enemy down. Although all buildings can be destroy, you are totally safe behind or inside the collapse building. - The greatness of spotting.
- Spot the enemies. You can even get free points when you or your teammate kill the spotted enemies. This also will help your team to survive a lot longer in battlefield, giving all in your team a really nice Kill/Death stats, and higher chance for team to win the round. If you saw enemy nearby and you can't spot him and it's hard for you to kill him, announce it in team chat. Don't use open chat, otherwise he will notice it and start to run away. Remember, when you start to spot, other will do the same and it will be easier for you to see nearby enemies and kill them easily. - Greedy is the worst!!!
- If you are a "pretty k/d stat" lover, then Bad Company 2 is not for you. Go play Modern Warfare or other fps games. When you start to care your k/d ratio, eventually you will start going solo or will not care for your teammate. Don't give a bs excuse on how you camping alone will help the team. Your effort alone will not be enough in 32 players server. Teamwork always win. I can assure you that you will never going to get the Best Player pin if you going solo. Trust me on this. If people start to make fun on your k/d ratio, just show them your total points on your stats. That will sure make them go "WTF!!!" (^_^)
Bad Company 2 is all about helping each other. Solo ain't getting you anywhere specially in Squad Match.
